Easing Restrictions Around the World
Friday 22 July 2022
More and more countries around the world are cutting back on the restrictions. And now we are even getting some statistics on the damage done by the lockdowns and even some elite saying that they have always been against the restrictions – yes, more lies upon lies.
The UK Daily Mail has an article saying that one thousand people a week in England and Wales 1,000 people per week in England and Wales are dying as a result of lockdown restrictions. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-10994179/Lockdowns-killing-1-000-people-week-Excess-deaths-England-Wales.html
More people every day are also starting to wake up to the fact that governments are violating freedoms and liberties.
The lockdown advocates insist that they were doing their best with the limited information that they had at the beginning of the pandemic.
THEY LIE.
Looking back to early 2020 there are several reports from reputable bodies containing clear warnings about the deadly consequences of lockdown measures. Look at the reports of articles listed here in March, April and May. There are so many. It is very clear that we knew in March 2020 that lockdown is not a wise or helpful response to the virus.
Articles appearing now in MSM talk about the dangers of lockdown as if it has only recently been discovered. They are merely giving statistics and facts to back up what we know.

We are also told that lockdown and Government Covid responses cause disproportionate suffering and hardship for the poor. Many places, many outlets, many organisations reveal the dangers of lockdowns.

And still the rich and the powerful claim that they saved lives and did the right thing with the restrictions and lockdowns.

Today I walk past what is usually a bustling, happy café. It is closed today. A sign on the door explains that they are closed today because they don’t have any staff. This is a common sight.
We hear that in July more people leave the country than arrive for the sixteenth consecutive month. In the year to June, 11,500 more people leave than arrive. About half the losses are New Zealand citizens, and about half are non-citizens.
For twenty years New Zealand averages 30,000 more people coming than going per month. Now there’s more than 11,500 going, which means that we have 40,000 fewer, mostly working aged, people.
We also have an increase in beneficiaries on the dole. That number is up about 35,000 since the Covid restrictions start. And yet, businesses are still missing at least 100,000 people. Why is this?
Something that would help ease the pain of labour shortage is immigration. But New Zealand is no longer such an attractive place for immigrants to come to. Other countries are trying to attract working age people, and they give concessions to Kiwis to encourage them to move there. While here in New Zealand, the Government makes it hard for people to immigrate, lots of rules, slow processing, low average wage, Covid rules.
We also normally rely on backpackers coming on overseas working holiday visas. They pick fruit, work in cafes, work in tourism and hospitality – all the places that are desperate for workers. But currently the backpackers are discouraged from coming. And the Tourism Minister says that the Government doesn’t want backpackers to come to New Zealand. The Government wants rich tourists. How will the rich tourists manage when many places are closed because the ones who would serve them are the backpacker tourists who are not encouraged or welcomed.
Trouble in Politics

We are heading towards Local Body Elections. VFF is encouraging people to put themselves forward for local boards. They offer to help people in their campaigns with advice and direction. There is a serious shortage of candidates putting themselves forward around the country. I believe we are about 1000 candidates short.
The MSM cotton on to the fact that VFF is encouraging people to step forward. One MSM outlet, Stuff, publishes articles about VFF saying that they are trying to make NZ ungovernable and VFF is trying to get people to step forward but keep their connection to VFF a secret. Stuff makes some documentaries attacking various freedom organisations. The music is scary, they talk about ‘infiltrating’ VFF to discover terrible things, they have soundbite quotes out of context, and at no time do they approach any of the people they are reporting on and ask them for an interview or for their opinions and beliefs. This is clearly an attempt to discredit any alternative to the establishment. VFF thanks Stuff for the free advertising. They also refer to their own emails and website to set the record straight on what they have done and tried to do.

A Labour MP is upsetting Ardern and the status quo by talking about the bullying happening within the Labour Party Caucus. He is immediately excluded from the Caucus. He tells of a secret Caucus meeting that he is not invited to where they discuss him and plan to exclude him. Then he is invited to a meeting the following day. He knows what is happening and doesn’t go to the meeting. Ardern uses his truancy as an excuse to exclude him and then says that it is not her decision. She also says that the secret Caucus meeting is not actually a Caucus meeting because not all the Caucus is there; i.e. the errant MP is not invited and therefore not there.
Today I read that the Government has spent $46,000,000 in incentives and rewards to get people to take the vaccine. That’s forty-six million dollars in vouchers, cash, e-bikes, overseas holiday, to bribe people to take the Covid vaccine. That is the carrot and the stick is the mandate policy which ensures you lose your job, or are unable to attend a family wedding, or see a family member in a retirement home, or whatever, if you refuse the vax.

The talk of the day is masks We still have restrictions in NZ. We are still in a ‘traffic light’ system and we are in ‘orange’.
‘Orange’ means that we have mask wearing mandates all over the place. Some people are noticing that masks are not mandatory in other countries. So you fly to Australia and arrive in a place with no masks. Coming back to NZ you must wear a mask on the plane and in many indoor public places. An unscientific online straw poll on Newshub shows that about 88% of people want masks gone completely. Voices For Freedom has a mask leaflet going out to letterboxes across the country. A few more people are wearing masks as chin warmers or even carrying a mask in their hand. They are being brave because the pressure to conform is huge. And some people are still very afraid and believe that masks are keeping them safe, despite evidence to the opposite in the high number of cases of respiratory disease we have in NZ across the country while mask mandates are in place.
Monday 12 September 2022
Cabinet meets to make decisions on two major things. First, New Zealand’s response to the death of the Queen – when to have a memorial service and whether to make it a national holiday. Secondly, what to do about mask mandates and other Traffic Light restrictions.
On the first, they choose to make Monday 26 September a national holiday and the day of a memorial service. This costs small business owners big time for another holiday when they are already struggling to survive because of the Government restrictions of the past two and a half years. Someone describes it as ‘buying votes with other people’s money’.
On the second, they decide to scrap mask mandates except for medical and old people’s facilities. Ardern also announces that vaccine mandates for work will be scrapped from 26 September. People are ready to stop with the masks and the mood of the country is that masks need to go, so that’s a good choice from the Government.
Ardern says that she is concerned about people’s mental health, stating, ‘I don’t want people’s wellbeing to be the price of Covid.’ Oops! Too late! Her constant stream of fear-inducing Covid-response propaganda directed at the NZ public ensures that the country’s collective mental health is at an all-time low. Social media platforms are filled with desperate people fearing the worst when the masks come off. And Ardern, appearing oblivious to her own hypocrisy says that some people will choose to keep wearing masks ‘We all just need to respect everyone’s individual decisions’. It’s interesting that Ardern is now eager to ‘respect everyone’s individual decisions’ about mask-wearing, but she also reserves the right to re-impose mask mandates whenever she wants. And she has not demonstrated respect for individual decisions over the past two and a half years.
Tuesday 13 September 2022
In the supermarket most people are not wearing masks. But I still see twelve people wearing masks, including two checkout operators. They are still afraid. Sadly, they believe that the masks are keeping them safe from Covid. I think about how they are more likely to be breathing in microplastic fibres as well as high amounts of carbon dioxide.
Wednesday 28 September 2022
It’s voting time in Local Body Elections. The MSM is tracking down any candidates who are freedom lovers or have any connection at all with Voices For Freedom. MSM is hounding these candidates, calling them ‘anti-vaxxers’, ‘dangerous’, ‘extreme’, ‘conspiracy theorists’. The pressure on the candidates is immense.
There is concern about the low voting turnout and the low number of candidates coming forward. People are being encouraged to vote. The voting system is not straightforward. It’s a postal ballot and the ballot sheet comes with a book listing every candidate for every position (mayor, councillor, local board member) and a paragraph on each person. We don’t really get much information on what the candidates really care about and will stand up for. For example, we get a phrase like ‘I am concerned about traffic, housing and the environment’. Really? And what is your position on these issues? From these paragraphs we are to choose our preferred candidate, fill in the form and post it back.
Saturday 8 October 2022
Voting ends today at midday. The turnout for the Local Body Elections is low, and there is much fuss being made of this everywhere. Somehow, there is an implication that the low turnout is our fault and people must be forced to vote.
We have a new mayor of Auckland. It is Wayne Brown who is described as ‘centre right’. After winning the election he says, ‘Let me be very clear: Wellington’s job is to listen to what Aucklanders say are our priorities, and to fund them – not impose ideological schemes like the $30 billion airport tram, untrammelled housing intensification and Three Waters on a city that doesn’t want them.’ He is right that Wellington, out of step with the rest of NZ even in the LBE results where they choose a Green candidate for mayor, must not impose their ideology on NZ. By ‘Wellington’ I refer to MPs and MSM.

Alberta has a new Premier, Danielle Smith, and she describes the unvaccinated as ‘The Most Discriminated Against Group That I’ve Ever Witnessed in My Lifetime’.
She says she will replace Alberta’s chief medical officer of health, Dr. Deena Hinshaw, and recruit a new team of advisers in public health that consider Covid to be an endemic disease, not a pandemic. She also repeats a pledge to review the leadership of Alberta Health Services (AHS) by the end of 2022.
She says, ‘I want our front-line health care workers to know that reinforcements are coming. We cannot continue understaffing our hospitals and then forcing our front-line workers to work mandatory overtime and be called in on days off and have to cancel their holidays.’
She is critical of the previous Government’s use of public health restrictions during the Covid crisis. She pledges to amend the Alberta Human Rights Act to add vaccination status as a grounds subject to protection from discrimination.
‘I don’t think I’ve ever experienced a situation in my lifetime where a person was fired from their job or not allowed to watch their kids play hockey or not allowed to go visit a loved one in long-term care or hospital, not allowed to get on a plane to either go across the country to see family or even travel across the border. We are not going to create a segregated society on the basis of a medical choice.’
There is a big backlash from the legacy media and therefore from those who disagree with her. She has to explain herself and releases a statement: ‘I want to be clear that I did not intend to trivialize in any way the discrimination faced by minority communities and other persecuted groups both here in Canada and around the world or to create any false equivalencies to the terrible historical discrimination and persecution suffered by so many minority groups over the last decades and centuries. I am committed to listening, learning and addressing the issues affecting minority communities.’
This is the power of legacy media.
